Community Outreach

 West Side Baptist's community outreach includes being a center for the performing arts by hosting the Delano Chamber Players, which include a professional level Chamber Orchestra, Chamber Brass and Chamber Music Series in addition to multi-level Youth Orchestras.  The Wichita Coin Club is a local coin club from Wichita, KS founded in 1946 by a dedicated group of coin collectors. The clubs primary focus is on the continuing education of its members. Most members are willing to share their vast wealth of knowledge in club presentations which are provided monthly by a club member each month. Examples of past club presentations have included: coin grading, identifying counterfeit coins, collecting silver coins, collecting fractional coins, and Kansas tokens.

Our members are hobbyists, enthusiasts, and professionals who enjoy learning about Numismatics - which is the hobby of coin collecting. Many of our members have interests that vary and cross over in the area of coins, currency, medals, and tokens. Our members enjoy specializing in many different topics, which include but are not limited to: World Coins or Foreign Coins, Modern U.S. Coins, Kansas Tokens and Tokens from around the country and abroad, various varieties, various type sets, and errors. Our currency collectors specialize in Kansas Bank Notes and notes from around the country, U.S. Currency, Foreign Currency, Star Notes, and errors in currency. We even have a few that enjoy primitive currency types.

The Wichita Coin Club is a current member of the American Numismatic Association, Central States Numismatic Society, and Kansas Numismatic Association.
